Property Dispute Checklist

1 Complaint containing details of facts and circumstances of the case, addressed to the Chairman, Punjab State Commission for NRIs, Chandigarh duly signed be sent.
2 Affidavit in original that contents of your complaint are true. It should be attested by Local Notary.
3 Send a copy either of theĀ  document of disputed property (whichever is available):-

Ownership of property, Ikrarnama, Registry, Sale deed, Jamabandi, Girdawri Khasra, etc.

4 Self attested copy of either of the following documents (whichever is available) in support of NRI status be sent: –

Passport Visa, OCI Card, Driving License, Social Security, Permanent Residency, or other documents.

5 Any complaint/report made to the police authority abroad or in India. If so, please send the copies and the details of response received from authority concerned.
6 Complete address, contact number, and e-mail of the complainant and local contact person in India who could be called by this Commission for gathering additional information, required in the case.
7 Power of attorney be furnished to the local person, in case you cannot pursue the case.
