1	Complaint (scanned copy)containing details of facts and circumstances of the case, addressed to the Chairman, Punjab State Commission for NRIs, Chandigarh, duly signed be sent.
2	Affidavit in original duly attested by Local Notary, mentioning that the contents of the complaint are true, be sent email and post also.
3	Copy of marriage certificate along with photos of marriage, bills of items, gifts, ornaments given as dowry, copy of FIR alongwith summons be sent.
4	Self attested copy of either of the following documents (whichever is available) in support of NRI status be sent: – Passport Visa, OCI Card, Driving License, Social Security, Permanent Residency, or other documents.
5	Copy of complaint/report made to the police authority abroad or in India, if any. If so, copy of response to that received from authority concerned be also sent.
6	Complete address, contact number, and e-mail of the complainant and local contact person in India who could be called by this Commission for gathering additional information, required in the case.
7	Power of attorney be furnished to the local person, in case you cannot pursue the case.
